Celine Luggage tote for this season

In this morning's Women's Wear Daily, the paper has officially announced the "it bag" for this season's fashion week circuit goers. It should come as no surprise to anyone that the award goes to Celine's Luggage Tote. "... the ¡°It¡± bag this season is the Celine luggage tote. The oversize bag, once coveted due to limited retailers that carry the French line, is clearly now more widely available. With an average price tag of $2,500, give or take a few hundred for varying sizes and fabrications, the bag follows in the footsteps of Proenza Schouler¡¯s PS1, Givenchy¡¯s Nightingale and YSL¡¯s Muse."In this season, there are other tote bags, such as: Goyard tote , Tory Buch bag , LV handbag.

Paris New noble-Goyard

Goyard is a lesser known brand than its French brothers, Hermes and Louis Vuitton, but its name rings among the most exclusive brands in the world. But why?
Goyard started as a trunk maker in 1853 (a year before Louis Vuitton, but seventeen years after Hermes).
Goyard was the malletier of many aristocratic famililies in France, creating Goyard bags according to their royal colors from their crests. Goyard also claims to have created the first office suitcase (la malle bureau en francais).
Their well-known motif is a three-dimensional pattern, known as the chevron (first appearing in 1892), and is painted in four colors. The material is a cotton, linen and hemp blend that¡¯s coated with gum arabic resin ¨C this results in a super thin, lightweight, and waterproof material.
The brand fell into obscurity, until Barney¡¯s featured it in their window in the early 2000¡äs. Today, people pay extra money on top of the $1000+ prices to have their initials, a crown, or stripes of every color embellished on their own personalized bag.
You can find them only at twelve stores in the world, including Takashimaya (Japan), Bergdorf Goodman, Barneys (US), the Peninsula (Hong Kong), Daslu (Brazil) and Maison Goyard itself (in France, or the flagship in San Francisco). But as anyone in the streets of NYC (or the auctions of eBay) will tell you, yes, there are floods of fakes out there. Buyer beware when not buying from an authorized seller.
Here are some tips to help you determine if a bag you¡¯re looking at is fake or real:
1.The real material is linen with resin painted on it. It feels thin and light. It does not look, weigh, or smell like vinyl.
2.Goyard handbags are handpainted, so the little dots on the material are slightly raised. Because of the naturally thin linen, you can feel them. Fake ones are printed on by a machine, which would give them a flat finish.
3.The black leather trim should have black stitching to match. Any other color should have white stitching.
4.The leather is treated, so you should be able to easily wipe stains away.

Street Style Around the World

Whenever I see a person on the street wearing a great hat, I stop and tell them so. I am sure many of you hat wearers experience this on a regular basis. But did you know that there is a whole crop of websites dedicated to stopping stylish people on the street? Well, there is! Just about every major city has a website dedicated to photographing people with great style. From Helsinki, Finland to Copenhagen, Denmark to Barcelona Spain and back to the U.S. stylish people are being photographed and featured wearing great hats.

Dam Style is a street photography blog from Amsterdam. We see very similar hat trends on the streets of the United States. Guys are wearing snap brim fedoras and gals are wearing cloche hats.

In Barcelona, Spain expect to see the classic snap brim fedoras and big brims to block the sun. The website Spain Street Style is a great place to spot the super fashionable and the casual traveler.

The Locals is a street style blog from Copenhagen, Denmark. They are in their summer months, but the high temperature is about 70 degrees, so expect warmer headwear. Knit hats in bright colors and floppy styles.

The street style found on Hel-Looks in Helsinki, Finland can range from wild to wilder even though their hat trends are very similar to those in the States. Classic driving caps, snap brim fedoras and fascinators can be found on even the most unique fashionista.

Back stateside, in San Francisco, the floppy style with great sun coverage can be found on one of the most photographed street stylistas who is pictured every season on the blog.

New York based style blogs like The Sartorialist picture street stylers from New York,Paris, Milan and more. In L.A. we see mini bikinis and trendy fedoras. In New York, they keep on trend with the trendy floppy fedora but skips the bikinis.

From this display of hat style all over the world, it is safe to say that hats as a fashion accessory are here to stay. It doesn¡¯t matter where you live, if you are wearing a great hat, you have a serious chance of being stopped on the street.

Rice could return to stardom

Ray Rice on the rise in 2011: In 2009, Rice emerged into one of the most valuable running backs in fantasy football. He finished fourth in points (246.10) at his position and led countless owners to a championship. He saw his fantasy value drop a bit last season, however, scoring 32.5 fewer points while also being far less reliable ¡ª in fact, almost 30 percent of all his fantasy points came in just two games. But with the expected release of Willis McGahee, Rice¡¯s stock could be back on the rise. The Baltimore Sun reports the team needs to save cap space, and cutting ties with McGahee is one way to help that cause. That means more work for Rice, especially near the goal line, and more value as a first-round option. If McGahee is released and the Raven¡¯s don¡¯t add another back, Jalen Parmele would be the front runner to become Rice¡¯s main handcuff.
Hasselbeck could be a Titan: One of the more prominent free-agent quarterbacks on the market this summer is Matt Hasselbeck, and where he lands will help determine the value of several players. The most popular choice for his next destination might be Tennessee, where the Titans could use a veteran signal-caller to start and mentor rookie Jake Locker. In fact, Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean seems convinced that Hasselbeck will be wearing a Titans uniform in 2011. Wyatt also suggests that if Hasselbeck doesn¡¯t land with the team, Donovan McNabb would be another option. Either way, fantasy owners should welcome the addition of either of these quarterbacks ¡ª someone has to throw the ball to troublesome (but talented) receiver Kenny Britt and super sleeper Jared Cook. It would also be nice to have some semblance of a pass attack to keep defenses from stacking the box to stop Chris Johnson. Let¡¯s just hope CJ2K¡¯s expected holdout doesn¡¯t last too long¡
Will Sidney Rice be a bust?: Clearly, Rice will be one of the most coveted wide receivers on the free-agent market once player movement is allowed. But is he a lock to make a major impact, both on the field and in fantasy land? Remember, Rice has had knee issues in the past and also missed most of the 2010 campaign while recovering from hip surgery. While he will be back at 100 percent this season and possesses a ton of upside, Rice has only had one truly productive season at the NFL level ¡ª that came in 2009 with Brett Favre under center. In 20 career games in which Favre wasn¡¯t with the Vikings or didn¡¯t play the majority of the team¡¯s snaps, Rice has averaged 2.9 receptions for 37 yards. Those are ugly numbers. So if Rice stays with the Vikings and has Christian Ponder throwing him the football, he becomes an instant bust candidate. But if he winds up with the Bears and is catching passes from Jay Cutler, for example, Rice will be a much more attractive choice.
