In search of some Portuguese in my life

Although I love living here, I cant help but wanting to be near and in touch with my culture.  I love this culture as much as I love my Portuguese culture.  I have lived here for almost half my life, and I cant get enough of it, I'm Portuguese/American, my boyfriend is American, and hopefully I will be getting married in Portugal in front of my entire family that lives there.

Unfortunately, i havent had the chance to make friendships worth keeping throughout the years, the majority of them have fallen apart many years ago, and to be honest, I dont think I'm missing out on anything.  But I could use some Portuguese friends in my life.  The few and scarsed Portuguese people that live in this city, none live near me I dont think. 

When I go to the Portuguese cafes and restaurants, I can't help but notice that the majority of the clientele is not Portuguese at all.  The people that are Portuguese, are scary, mostly are old man looking at you bluntly, like they cant help themselves.  Then there are the Brazilian men, most of them are not attractive at all, I repeat not attractive; and they act just like any other Portuguese guy in the joint.  I'm sure there's tones of hot, and sexy Brazilian men out there, I dont want to offend anyone.  And by the way, the Portuguese people here are very different from the Portuguese in Portugal.

Here Portuguese people have a tendency to become very cocky.  Too good, and important for other people, it reminds me of the Russian people that move here.  The attitude is terrible, they are better than anyone else.

Then there's the creepy, lonely, low self-esteem, macho, brutish, bully attitude Portuguese guys that would terrify any woman out of her wits.  Why is it that the majority of the Portuguese guys here in USA, act like their fathers?  Not a good thing, trust me.  We want to be very far away from you, we are not your maids, we are your mates, companions, your partner in life, your equal.  Relax, have a little faith in yourselves, if a women picked you in the first place, give her the benefit of the doubt that she thinks you're a nice guy, someone worth of wasting time and getting to know you. 

Then there's the older ladies that know everything there is to know about whomever they need to know.  Unbelievable!  They go to church just to get new information about other people.

We can also find the parents that are so over protective of their children that once the children have the chance they will rebel against everything, and I mean everything.  I love it.  The majority of these parents were the ones that always talked shit about other people's kids in the community.  Now look at them, they are paying for every mean, and degrading comment they ever made about someone.

Then there are the girls, OMG!!  They are so annoying, and the biggest back stabbers.  Honestly, I dont know if it's due to being so spoiled, or maybe the fact that they are just immature, the point is, I cant put up with these girls.  The majority of these teenagers were also the biggest whores and drug users, meanwhile parents thought they had perfect children that could do no wrong.  The girls would go out with these degenerates, ugly retards; I never understood the reason behind it.

I wonder where da heck can I find Portuguese people that are not the stereotype Portuguese American, that are not drug users, or do not abuse any substances?  Where can I find someone around my age, that I could become friends?  Someone laid back that still does everything they have to do, to make something out of their lives?

Bty, falo e escrevo portugues sem problema, mas agora e mais conviniente quando escrevo e falo em ingles, porque estou tao habituado com a escola.  Se alguem quer dizer alguma coisa, por favor esteja a vontade.
