We had to endure Fair City for 2 nights in order to actually double check that The Hair Horror wasn＊t a once off. Sadly, it was not, and that＊s when we knew we needed to take swift action. My initial efforts with a paperclip, an elastic band, and a stick of dynamite that some careless bad guy had left around the place weren＊t particularly successful, but I had better luck when I paired my Penneys tanning mitt with a very chunky coat hanger.?Re-sult!

The big rounded shoulder of the hanger was able to put sufficient pressure on a decently large area of the mitt to ensure an even, controlled application, and アディダス ObyO ジã‚∫レミースコット the hanger I used had a sort of velvet material covering the ends of the shoulders which helped prevent the mitt from slipping off.

I＊m happy to report that my tan turned out absolutely perfect. And I got to sing the McGyver theme tune to myself while putting it on. That＊s a win win if ever I saw one.

I noticed a couple of you commenting on a mineral makeup ベルスタッフメンズジャã‚㊣ット thread about Bare Escentuals yesterday. If you＊ve looked into this type of makeup before, then you＊ll know that this brand is seriously one of the best. It＊s hard to come by here though, and tends to be a lot more expensive too.

Which can, of course, be a problem if you＊re not sure you want to ditch the foundation-powder route and go mineral. Splashing out a lot of cash on something you＊ve never really tried is a gamble, and this is why you can buy starter kits. But as one user commented, they seem to be wildly expensive here 每 certainly in the salon she saw them, they were charging a massive a??90.
So I thought you might like to know about the Bare Escentuals Newbie Kit you can buy on HQhair - it＊s a mere a??45.50 and contains:

Hats (and scarves＃ and gloves＃) off to anyone who＊s got any kind of fake tanning routine on the go at the moment 每 to be honest, it＊s just a bit too Arctic for me to be standing around in the nip for even a little every couple of days gradual self-tan action. And while I don＊t mind being slightly blue on a day-to-day basis, instant tanners are being called into action when it comes to prepping for nights out.

Yes, yes 每 hideously unfashionable to be using self-tan in any incarnation. I know. But I can＊t stretch to a bottle of MAC Face + Body just at the minute and I feckin＊ need something to do away with the Mullingar corned beef look for public flesh flashing.

The Contenders
Two instant tans I＊ve been using lately: St. Tropez Instant Glow Mousse and ModelCo Body Meringue Bronze Glow. (I＊m a sucker for the word ※glow§, so I am.) The

Application & Colour
I used a mitt to apply both and found that they went on fine, being tinted mousses, although you get a bit more play time with the ModelCo product to make sure everything is nice and even and streak-free. Both claim to be suitable for any and all skin tones, but St. Tropez is quite a bit ベルスタッフジャã‚㊣ット darker, giving more of an olive colour compared to the golden of the ModelCo.? The St. Tropez tan gives a matte finish, which is grand, but there＊s a delicate golden shimmer in ModelCo＊s offering which is deeevine. It also fares better on the smell front, being slightly sugary scented.

There＊s quite a bit of colour transfer from the pair of them, even waiting longer than the recommended 10 minutes before dressing. Don＊t expect to be able to wear your favourite white anythings with these boyos.

Wear & Removal
St. Tropez says it will wash off with soap and water. Belstaff Grand job. However, ModelCo isn＊t quite as up-front about its staying credentials. In ベルスタッフ女æ€∫のジャã‚㊣ット fact, it apparently contains a gradual tanner, but this has never materialised on my (pale) skin. I even performed a patch test just to be sure I wasn＊t going completely mad, but the gradual tan was a no show.

Both, as far as I＊m concerned, are wash-off instant tans, and that＊s exactly how they behave. Hands will be back to their non-tanned selves with the first wash, although at least St. Tropez＊s mousse does actually require soap to be banished from skin. ModelCo, by contrast, is a total water wuss and vanishes at the first hint of the wet stuff. Bah!

The Verdict
In theory, instant tans are a brilliant quick fix. Colour is instant, so there＊s less opportunity for winding up with streaky or patchy limbs than with gradual tanners. By the same token, colour can be built up for intensity if desired. It＊s all very what you see is what you get.

I do find that the ベルスタッフ annoyance of white hands and clothes ruination almost outweigh the benefits, though. If someone held a gun to my head and my next mascara fix depended on it, I＊d probably plump for? ModelCo＊s mousse for its golden colour and shimmer and the extended play time Belstaff Outlet (and not just because of the ※meringue§ in its name. Mmmm＃)

Provided the farming forecast had guaranteed no precipitation when I was wearing it, and I was off to a venue that was unlikely to house any pint-spilling maniacs, like.

There was a great response to Kirstie＊s post wondering what beauty bits she ベルスタッフ should pick up ベルスタッフジャã‚㊣ット while she was in Barcelona recently, and I fully plan to cut out ＆n＊ keep the comments from that post for easy reference the next time ベルスタッフ女æ€∫のジャã‚㊣ット I＊m in Spain. My upcoming trip, though, is to California in the US of A for a fly-drive from San Francisco to San Diego, taking in LA and Las Vegas on the way.

Don＊t tell Himself, now, but I＊m planning to do a bit of beauty shopping while we＊re there. (Shocking, I know; I＊m sure he＊ll be very surprised.)

At least one box of Crest Whitestrips will be coming home with me, but I＊m wondering if you ladies would recommend any other hard-to-get-here products or brands or stores that you think I should check out?

Cheryl Cole＊s ※me hair＊s got it＊s mojo back!§ print and telly ads for L＊Or��al Paris＊ Full Restore 5 range have been coming under fire in the last little while. There have been tens of thou- er, well just tens, actually, of complaints to the UK＊s Advertising Standards Authority about the ads, saying that their claims to make weak, limp, lifeless, dull or straw-like hair feel stronger, shinier, and silkier are deceptive because, as most Beaut.ie readers will know, Cheryl＊s mop is choc full of extensions.

The ASA have dismissed all 13 of the complaints made to date, saying that they cannot be upheld since the ads run a clear and legible disclaimer that Cheryl＊s hair is ※styled with some natural extensions§.

This is of course standard ベルスタッフメンズジャã‚㊣ット practise in product advertisements, with eyelashes in mascara ads being ※enhanced in Belstaff Outlet post production§ or ※styled with some natural inserts§ or ※some other sequence of words which amounts to basically faked.§ What seems to be getting the goat of the peeps who are complaining about this ad in particular is that Cheryl＊s hair hasn＊t just been styled for the sake of the shoots, it＊s permanently enhanced.

Anyway, it＊s a long, long time since I took an ad for a beauty or make-up product at face (ho ho) value, regardless of whether the ad runs a disclaimer. I mean, they aren＊t given to owning up to Photoshopping or otherwise airbrushing the hell out of models and celebridee spokespeeps, but sure that＊s going on too.

What do you make of it all? Should we be canny enough as consumers not to be taken in by these ads when the brands are just attempting to illustrate what their products can do? Or is it ridiculous that they Belstaff can pretend a product does something that it doesn＊t?

So it＊s the day after the Bertie announced that his resignation is imminent. Now we won＊t get into a political argument here about whether you＊re glad or sad to see him go. But you have to admit that he led Irish men in the wearing of foundation.

When Mac ask you would you like to pop along to their suite on site at the IFTAs ahead of the event, the only answer to give is a whole-hearted yes. So that was why myself and my pal Natalie were present and correct at the Burlington today at 12pm, her with a face bereft of slap, and me with a camera in tow.

The awards show kicks off tomorrow night but the brand＊s makeup artists are hard at it today, prepping アディダス ObyO ジã‚∫レミースコット and preparing the perfect red-carpet looks they＊ll be using on the faces of the ＆slebs tomorrow. Natalie was my (willing) stooge and senior artist for Ireland, Lesley Keane gave her two different looks, both of which are ideal for those red carpets we all regularly trot down, as well as of course, any event or big do you might be taking yourself off to. adidas ObyO JS WINGS Or even, y＊know, just a night down the pub.

We kicked off with a very clean face complete with flattering falsies and a perfect, matte pout. The second look was a really edgy purple smokey eye, and you can check out both after the cut. This post is very picture-heavy, a warning!

Face first, gals. Lesley prepped with wipes and Prep + Prime and then buffed on a small amount of Studio Sculpt using a gorgeous teeny weeny version of a MAC #187 每 the #138, to be precise.? Moisture Cover concealer was used and then Lesley went straight into contouring, using a Mineralize powder, with Accentuate (a pro product) used to highlight. This immediately gave a sculptural feel アディダスウã‚∟ンã‚∼ス to the face and Lesley emphasised that a look featuring a strong lip needs to have a well contoured cheek and eye to lift it out of the ordinary.

Once that was done, she moved onto eyes. Brows happened first, アディダスジã‚∫レミースコットボーン and Lesley shaped and filled in Natalie＊s ジã‚∫レミースコットアディダス with brow pencil in Lingering, and highlighted beneath them with Accentuate again. A greasepaint stick in Zinc Zone (not out yet) was used lightly to the edge of the upper lashline and smudged using a brush, and then lashes were applied. Lesley carefully tapped Lashes #7 into place after trimming and prepping them with a little Duo glue, and once they had set, she brushed some mascara through to bond false and natural lashes.

On the lid, she used shadow in Omega and on the lash line, Zinc Zone and liner in Blacktrack. She tidied up with a little concealer to finish.

Lips 每 the focus of the whole event! They were first lined in Cherry lip pencil and then filled in with Ruby Woo. As it＊s very matte, Lesley mixed it with a little lip conditioner to make it more comfortable to wear.

Blush was the last step, and Jeremy Scott Adidas Lesley patted a small amount of Blushcreme in Ladyblush right on the fleshy apples of the cheeks, and that was it 每 the big reveal is just below.

Gorgeous, eh?

To kick off the purple smokey eye, the red lipstick was removed *sob*, and Lesley then got to work prepping the eyes for their dramatic makeover. Skin, blush and contouring all remained the same as look one. This one is all about the eyes, and brows were defined a little more and then we kicked off with a soon-to-launch product, Pearlglide pencil in Designer Purple. The pix don＊t capture how lovely? this colour is 每 creamy and blendable, it＊s super-shimmery and metallic. Gorgeous.

Lesley drew it onto and above the lashline and blended it out, then did the same again up to the crease. Adidas Jeremy Scott Wings 2.0 She used shadow in Smoulder on the crease and Fig 1 into the crease and blended well above. Below the eye, she used Pearlglide pencil? again.

Lips were kept really simple: just a hint of lipstick in Pretty Please was applied and ＆bounced＊ into the lip with a finger.

My exceptionally un-great camera skills haven＊t captured how nice this is 每 really dramatic but not overly Sky newsreadery, there was no shimmer used on the brow-bone for example, so it was all about texture and colour, and it was really pretty.

No one managed to get the decade, but a few of you did get nine right. And sure that＊s good enough for us.

Over the weekend, 2003's White/Red Nike Air Force 1 Low has replaced the "Mark Smith Laser" Nike Air Force 1 as the leading vote getter in Philadelphia's Nike 1 Vote. The "Mark Smiths" dropped to number 5, with the WMNS "Ice Cube" Nike Air Force 1 Low and the "Black HTM/Fragment" Nike Air Force 1 Low rounding out the top 3.

Continuing this trend, Nike recently released a White/Black/Red Nike Air Max Light. The White/Black/Red Nike Air Max Light features a Black Nubuck Mudguard that supports a White Nubuck/Mesh upper with Red accents. Though the colorblocking and color choice are simple, the White/Black/Red Nike Air Max Light does feature a hit of Patent.
