4/21/2012 - Louis Vuitton iPhone 4 Case Increases Tethering Data Plan Limit to 4 GB |
Following through on its announcement from earlier this month that it would bump monthly data limits for customers on its DataPro + Tethering plan from 2 GB to 4 GB, Louis Vuitton iPhone 4 Case has now sent out text messages to customers confirming that the change has been made.
Louis Vuitton iPhone 4 Case DataPro plan offers customers 2 GB of mobile data for $25 per month. The carrier had offered the ability for customers to tether computers to their Louis Vuitton iPhone 4 Case for an additional $20 per month, but the plan offered no additional data for tethering beyond the standard 2 GB bucket. With the change, the $20 per month charge now effectively buys not only tethering privileges but also an additional 2 GB of data.

9/3/2011 - iPhone 5 delayed as Steve Jobs quits? |
| The man who dragged Apple out of the doldrums and up to the top of the world in the space of 14 years, Steve Jobs, has quit as company CEO ā so how will this affect the iPhone 5 release date? We take a closer look.
Steve Jobs is no longer the CEO of Apple. In his open resignation letter, Jobs revealed that he ācould no longer meet [his] duties and expectations as Appleās CEOā ā an evident reference to his persistent health problems that have seen him take a couple of periods of medical leave in recent years.
The man who helped found Apple in 1976, was forced out in 1984 and regained control in 1997 has been the driving force behind one of the worldās biggest and most profitable companies. Heās also the reason we all excitedly check the news feeds every morning to see if the iPhone 5ā²s coming out yet.
YOU SHOULD READ ā iPhone 5 release date ā what the experts say
iPhone 5 delay?
So integral is Steve Jobs to Apple that it might make you wonder what sort of impact his resignation will have on the release of the iPhone 5. The simple answer is: not a jot.
For one thing, Jobs isnāt resigning from Apple ā only the day-to-day responsibilities of the demanding CEO role. He will still have a heavy say in how Apple proceeds as company Chairman and director ā an influential role that was confirmed swiftly by a grateful Apple board.
Another reason is that Steve Jobs has already given his recommendation for a replacement, which has also been accepted by the board. Indeed, the process of replacing Jobs was instigated long ago, as evidenced by the following exerpt from Jobsās resignation letter: āAs far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.ā
Tim Cook ā ideal candidate
Taking control of Apple will not be difficult for Tim Cook in the slightest. Back in 2004, he took the reigns as CEO for two months while Jobs recovered from major surgery. Since Steve Jobs took his last medical leave of absence back in January, Cook has been acting as COO, which in Jobsās own works made him āresponsible for all of Appleās day to day operationsā. That particular shift didnāt seem to do the iPad 2 any harm, did it?
All of this shows that among Steve Jobsās many talents, his chief one is probably building teams ā putting intelligent people in position and letting them do what they do best. This means his legacy at Apple will be a strong future, starting with an extremely strong iPhone 5 launch.
The mains questions will be: how will Appleās direction change longer term (weāre talking iPhone 6 or even 7 here)? And will Jobs be able to continue with his inspirational presentations? And perhaps most importantly of all: if Tim Cook takes over the presentational responsibilities too, will he wear a turtleneck?

9/3/2011 - HP Pre 3 top 5 alternatives: Samsung, BlackBerry, HTC, Dell, Palm |
| Disappointed that you didnāt get your HP Pre 3 for Ā£50 ā or at least for a good chunk less than its Ā£300 RRP? If so, why not consider the following alternatives, each of which possess many of the key qualities of the HP Pre 3, and can be had for less.
When you think of the HP Pre 3, what springs to mind? Donāt be rude. All bitterness aside, for a brief period at the end of August it appealed to people for being a well built smartphone with a physical qwerty keyboard, an excellent operating system and a bargain price tag.
While we might not be able to match the deviceās 1.4GHz processor or 3.5-inch 800 x 480 screen for that fanciful Ā£50 price tag, we can certainly recommend the following devices as meeting all or most of the above criteria.
YOU SHOULD READ ā HP Pre 3 review
Samsung Galaxy Pro
The Samsung Galaxy Pro is a tempting alternative as it offers that pro feel (and not just because of the name), a decent qwerty keyboard and one of the cheapest prices of the lot. For less than Ā£150 you get a device with a 2.8-inch touchscreen (which is admittedly a way short of the HP Pre 3ā²s sharp example) and a capable 800MHz processor. Best of all, it runs on Android which ā unlike webOS ā is a thriving operating system thatās only going to get better.

Dell Venue Pro
The Dell Venue Pro is probably the closest thing to a direct HP Pre 3 replacement on this list, with one key difference ā it runs on a young mobile OS (Windows Phone 7) thatās still very much alive and kicking, and set to get a massive update any day now. The Venue Pro has a similar slide-out portrait qwerty, solid build quality, an arguably superior 4.1-inch screen and a decent 1GHz processor running it all. It can be had for around Ā£250 ā a good Ā£130 less than its RRP ā if you shop around.

BlackBerry Curve 9300
BlackBerryās junior range is a great way to get a professional qwerty-packing smartphone for a good price. The BlackBerry Curve 9300 can be had on a number of tempting contract deals right now, as RIM will be launching a successor fairly soon. Otherwise, for around Ā£150 up front youāll get yourself a well built BlackBerry device with solid communication software, a top drawer qwerty keyboard and a 2.4-inch (non-touch) screen.

HTC ChaCha
The HTC ChaCha is one of the leading āFacebook phonesā on the market. This means that it tightly integrates the popular social network, allowing you to share links, pictures and more with a press of the dedicated āFā button. Donāt think that this is a gimmicky toy phone though ā HTCās legendary build quality gives it a premium feel, while Android 2.3, a sharp 2.4-inch screen, an 800MHz processor and an accomplished qwerty keyboard ensure that youāll be getting a professional-grade phone for less then Ā£200.

Palm Pre 2
Our final recommendation is a bit of a left field choice ā why not buy the HP Pre 3ā²s predecessor, the HP Palm Pre 2? It possesses an almost identical design ā the same pebble-like shape, the same slide-out qwerty ā and performance that isnāt all that far off. Its 1GHz processor is still competitive (and only 400MHz off the Pre 3), especially as the screen is smaller and less sharp than the newer device. Youāll get all the benefits of the fine webOS, and itāll only set you back around half the price of the HP Pre 3ā²s RRP. Worth thinking about.

4/30/2011 - iPhone 5: iPod touch back, 3.7 inch display, gesture-based home button? (updated) |
|
Update: MacRumors and people in the know who we have spoken to are having their doubts about this one.
This is my nextdrops a bombshell, claiming that the next-generation iPhone will not be a minimal departure from the iPhone 4, like others are saying, but will be a completely re-designed phone, as Engadget reported earlier this year. The iPhone 5 that the report describes is said to be a prototype in testing ØC we know that Apple tests many products before going to market ØC that features a body akin to that of the one found on the fourth-generation iPod touch. This design is said to also be ”°teardrop”± like the late 2010 MacBook Air”Æs design ØC thicker to thinner from top to bottom.
Even more interesting is that the next-generation iPhone is said to gain a larger home button on the bottom portion of the device and” it”Æs gesture sensitive. This is my next points out that this could easily work hand-in-hand with some of those funky new gestures Apple is testing in iOS 4.3 with iOS App Store developers. The report also backs up a report from the Wall Street Journal, and says the screen will cover most of the device”Æs front and the new phone will likely lack a true bezel. Even cooler is that This is my next says Apple is exploring ways to hide the earpiece and the iPhone 4”äs famous sensors behind the screen.
Speaking of screens” the report says that it”Æs not your everyday iPhone 3.5 inch display, but it”Æs 3.7 inches and the pixels are staying the same. This will cause a drop in pixel density of 13 pixels-per-inch ØC but this will still be above the magic Retina mark of 300 pixels per inch. The screen will likely look the same to the human eye, and developers will not need to adjust their graphics. Perhaps they will have the option in the iPhone SDK to to take full advantage of the extra screen real estate. This is my next is also saying that this all-new-phone could possibly sport some sort of wireless/inductive charging and/or NFC, but that is less confirmed ØC on their part ØC compared to the rest of the story.
Finally, This is my next closes by making it clear that the described iPhone 5 may never hit the streets, but itӮs certainly being toyed with at Apple HQ:
Now, keep in mind that this info isn”Æt fact ”Ŗ we”Ære getting lots of threads from lots of places and trying to make sense of the noise. The versions of devices our sources are seeing could be design prototypes and not production-ready phones. Still, there are strong indications that Apple will surprise a public that”Æs expecting a bump more along the lines of the 3G to 3GS ”Ŗ and this is some insight into where those designs might be headed. We”Ære working on a couple of other intriguing pieces of information concerning future Apple products” so stay tuned for much, much more.Gucci iPhone 4 Cases,LV iPhone 4 Cases,Chanel iPhone 4 Cases |
